Responsible Gaming

How to keep playing under control, and where to turn if it stops being fun.

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Real-money games involve financial risk and you can lose money. This website is for adults aged 18 and over. Check the laws in your location before you play, as real-money online games are restricted or prohibited in parts of India.

Our approach

We write about card games and apps so readers can make informed choices. We do not promise winnings and we do not encourage anyone to play with money they cannot afford to lose. Playing should be entertainment, not a way to make money or solve money problems.

Basic rules to protect yourself

  • Set a budget before you start, using only money you can afford to lose.
  • Set a time limit and stop when it ends.
  • Never chase losses. Trying to win back what you lost usually makes it worse.
  • Never borrow money to play, and never use money meant for rent, food, bills or school fees.
  • Take regular breaks and do not play when tired, upset or under pressure.
  • Treat bonuses carefully. Read the conditions and do not deposit just to claim one.
  • Keep track of what you deposit, win and lose.

Warning signs of a problem

  • Playing for longer or with more money than you planned.
  • Thinking about the game much of the time.
  • Hiding how much you play or lose from family or friends.
  • Borrowing, selling things or missing payments to keep playing.
  • Feeling anxious, irritable or low when you are not playing, or when you lose.
  • Playing to escape stress, loneliness or worries.

If you think you are losing control

  • Stop playing and avoid depositing more.
  • Use any deposit limit, cooling-off or self-exclusion options the app offers, or ask its support team to close your account.
  • Uninstall the app and remove saved payment details.
  • Talk to someone you trust, such as a family member or friend.
  • Consider speaking to a doctor or mental health professional.

In India, the government’s Tele-MANAS mental health helpline can be reached on 14416. Please check that the number is current before you call. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Protecting young people

Anyone under 18 must not play real-money games. If you share a device with a minor, keep app accounts and payment details private and use device controls.

Staying safe

  • Never share your OTP, password or card details with anyone.
  • Be wary of “support” or “agents” who contact you on WhatsApp, Telegram or social media.
  • Check the source of any APK before you install it. See our Download Guide.
